【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodforthedeterminationofthelong-termsublethaltoxicityofsubstancessolubleinwaterunderspecifiedcon-ditionstoaspeciesofanadromousfish[OncorhynchusmykissWalbaum(Teleostei,Salmo-nidae)—commonname,rainbowtrout]infreshwater.NOTE1"Substances"isconsideredtoincludepurechemicalstestedsinglyorinmixtures,wastewaters,pro-cesswatersorotherwaterswhosesublethaltoxicitytofishitisnecessarytodetermine.Arangeofconcentrationsofwasteandprocesswatersshouldbetested(see8.2).Theresponsemeasuredisthechangeinrateofgrowthoffishexposedtothetestsubstanceoverperiodsof14dand28d(see[1]inannexB).NOTE2Themassofeachfishatthestartofthetest,theperiodofexposure,thefeedingregimeandtemperaturerangehavebeenchosentoensurethatthecontrolfishwillbegrowingexponentiallythroughoutthetest.Themethodisapplicableforassigning,foreachtestsubstance,acategoryofprolongedsublethaltoxicitytoOncorhynchusmykissunderthetestconditions.Theresultsareinsufficientbythemselvestodefinewaterqualitylimitsforenvironmentalprotection.Itispossibleforthemethodtobeadaptedforusewithotherfreshwaterfishandmarineandbrackishwaterfishwithappropriatemodificationofthetestconditions,particularlywithrespecttothetempera-ture,thequantityandqualityofthedilutionwater,thefoodandthefish-markingtechnique.
